About Me

About me

Sangram Kachwaha

Hi there!

I am a mostly self-taught landscape, nature and travel photographer currently based in Cape Cod in the US. While my full-time career is in advertising technology & media, I have been passionate about photography for as long as I can remember. I love being in beautiful places and find nature exhilarating from the vast, wide landscapes to the very minute details. For many years now, I have been drawing my inspiration from compositions that are somewhere between the abstract and the wider view - getting beyond the mere documentation of a particular location. My images are designed to extract a portion of the larger vista or an iconic view that I feel truly represents the mood and essence of a place.

There are always some exceptions when a composition has to be meticulously planned to ensure that the Milky Way or the Sun or the Moon rises or sets in the exact right place but generally my choice of compositions and subjects are intuitive. I don't typically plan what to photograph on a particular day - instead, I get out there with an open mind and wait to see what draws my attention. The ultimate goal being to capture and represent the feeling that I had when I took that photograph.

Thanks for visiting and for your interest in my photography; they are both greatly appreciated and I hope you enjoy my photos as I have enjoyed taking them. I also hope my images inspire you to do what you can to protect our beautiful and precious planet.

Incidentally, if you are looking to purchase/license any of my images or acquire photographic services please feel free to get in touch.

~Sangram

Prints

All images are available as fine art prints

While the prints offered in the shop are updated periodically, any of my images can be purchased as archival prints in a variety of sizes. These are made using a high-resolution large format inkjet printer on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 or Hahnemuhle FineArt Baryta Satin based on whichever paper would work best for the image. These are museum quality acid-free archival papers and offer a wonderfully soft feel giving a three-dimensional appearance and an impressive pictorial depth. These papers produce outstanding prints that feature brilliant colors, deep blacks, striking contrasts and perfect reproduction of detail.

A curated selection of some of my photographs are available as Limited Editions. These are the works I consider as my absolute finest. Each edition comes with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity (COA). These are mailed separately from the print and each COA includes the edition number, print title, image location, date the photograph was taken and the paper it is printed on.

If you don't see an option listed that you need, or would like a customization (size, medium, framing, etc.) different from what I have on offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your interest in my work. I am truly honored if you choose to hang my work in your home, office or business. Your support means the world.
